Hvar Oregano

V origano hvar Oregano packet 15g

Oregano (chopped) Origanum vulgare l.

Use: It improves the taste of Mediterranean cuisine specialties. Oregano is used to season octopus salad, salted fish, seafood, soups, especially those with vegetables, sauces, potato salads, dishes of beans. It goes exceptionally well when combined with mushrooms, tomatoes and aubergines. It also goes well with poultry, lamb, goat and of course it is an indispensable addition to pizza. The aroma disappears in a short time with cooking, so it is best to add at the end.

Oregano jar 15g



  • 400 g of flour
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 2-3 dcl milk
  • 50 g of margarine
  • Salt (a pinch)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 400 g of grated ham
  • 400 g of grated cheese
  • Hvar Oregano


Mix milk, the egg, margarine and sugar lightly until the mix becomes fluffy, then add the flour in which we have put salt and yeast. They are all mixed together to get a soft dough. The dough is then rolled up and placed on a greased and floured baking sheet. Cover the dough in tomato sauce, grated ham and cheese and season with a pinch of oregano. Enjoy your meal!
